CAFE ACME has opened its first store in Taichung, located along the stylish green corridor of the Qingshui business district. Following its entry into Taipei 101 at the end of 2023, this marks the brand's first expansion outside of its original county, making CAFE ACME | Taichung Qingshui the fourth store in the ACME brand. Positioned in the Qingshui Eslite Greenway in Taichung, it is adjacent to Taichung's first Intercontinental Hotel and the future Qingshui Museum designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma. This district seamlessly integrates culture, art, greenery, and lifestyle, making it an ideal location for CAFE ACME's expansion. The Taichung store aims to convey the brand's simple and relaxed lifestyle through locally roasted coffee and refined brunch offerings.
Inspired by Artist Studios, Creating a Premium Relaxed Coffee Space
The ACME team continues its tradition of designing new stores with unique themes. CAFE ACME | Taichung Qingshui incorporates elements such as artist worktables and picture frames into its space. Using the concept of "work in progress," the store creates a relaxed and leisurely social atmosphere within its high-ceilinged, comfortable environment. The team hopes that this space will become a hub for cultural connections and interactions in the Qingshui district.
Combining a Distinctive Bar Brand to Realize "Morning Coffee, Evening Cocktails"
In this new venture, CAFE ACME partners with the distinctive Taipei bar brand Carrot, integrating it into the store. Carrot, known for its playful and humorous slogans like "Carrot Everything You Cannot." and "I Hate Carrot," uses commonly disliked vegetables as the base for its three signature cocktails: "CARROT YOU OUT" (carrot), "BITTER BEE" (bitter melon), and "ENSUI MOJITO" (cilantro). These refreshing vegetable cocktails transform feared ingredients into delightful drinks, akin to learning to coexist with things we dislike as we grow up. Sometimes, a change in perspective can reveal new possibilities in life!
