Exhibition Concept:
Sculpture is not an act of addition, but an unveiling of form through continuous reduction and removal. Though the discarded fragments are no longer visible, they once participated in the creation, rendering what remains not a complete whole, but fragments that persist and endure.
Centered on woodcarving, this exhibition explores the emergence and disappearance of form between nature and human intervention—from the timber's inherent grain, knots, and cracks to the intrusion of chisel marks and cuts. The works deliberately linger in an unfinished state; through traces of retention, interruption, and residual marks, they point toward an existence in a constant state of becoming. Thus, 'what is left behind' becomes not merely a material result, but a reflection on choice and loss.
